Sevco Joins Cisco Security Technical Alliances Program

Sevco is excited to announce that it has joined the Cisco Security Technology Alliance (CSTA) as a new industry partner to help organizations unlock comprehensive asset intelligence and drive more effective prioritization of exposure management activities within Cisco Umbrella.

The current threat landscape makes protecting dynamic and expanding enterprise environments a struggle – especially with outdated individual products failing to offer a comprehensive overview of IT assets within constantly evolving networks. The lack of visibility into these assets prevents a security team from effectively managing and protecting the network.

Sevco’s Asset Intelligence Platform seamlessly integrates with Cisco Umbrella and other tools to deliver the comprehensive asset inventory required to proactively identify, prioritize, and automate the remediation of software and environmental vulnerabilities. These environmental vulnerabilities—missing security tools, IT hygiene issues, end-of-life systems, shadow IT, and more—are particularly pernicious because underdeployment of vulnerability assessment or patch management tools prevents the identification of CVEs on assets that aren’t being scanned and the failure to patch CVEs on assets missing patch agents.

Cisco Umbrella offers flexible, cloud-delivered security and combines multiple security functions into one solution, so organizations can extend data protection to devices, remote users, and distributed locations anywhere.

The integration benefits that Sevco’s platform offers include:

  • Roaming Computers (any device with the Cisco Umbrella Client installed)
  • Network Devices (any hardware device that can route DNS traffic to the Umbrella recursive DNS servers)

By integrating with Cisco Umbrella and correlating the data with other IT and security tools used within an enterprise environment, Sevco provides organizations with comprehensive asset intelligence that uncovers previously unknown vulnerabilities like missing security controls, misconfigured agents, out-of-date software, and more.

Sevco is thrilled to be part of the 200+ key security vendors that have integrations with Cisco. This partnership further demonstrates Sevco’s commitment to its customers and partners, as it is always looking to improve the value of its product with the latest technologies. Together, Sevco and Cisco will help enterprises generate the most comprehensive and accurate real-time telemetry of asset and vulnerability information while optimizing business operations through not only Cisco Umbrella, but Cisco Meraki, Cisco Secure Endpoint and Cisco Vulnerability Management.
